Frog Dissection
Wednesday, August 4th, 2010My classmates and I conducted an experiment to determine the sex of a frog during our zoology class.
Without further ado, I would like to introduce my frog!
Meet “Gamabunta”!
To determine the frog’s sex, look at the hand digits, or fingers, on its forelegs. A male frog usually has thick pads on its “thumbs,” which is one external difference between the sexes. Male frogs are also usually smaller than female frogs.
- Gamabunta is a male frog!
- Examining the external anatomy of the amphibian.
- Gamabunta photoshoot!
- It’s Gruesome, I know. But it was a success anyhow.
- The frog killer. Oh! I’m sorry Gamabunta.
